OH POOP!!

Yesterday was the only day that kids in the valley had a full day of school, it just so happened to be the day I was scheduled to sub!! Bummer for me!! Joya loves these days because she gets to spend the day with either my dad or my mother-in-law. Yesterday she was with my dad, who she calls Papa. So while she had a special day with Papa and I was at work, Toby was at home. This is when the oh poop comes in. Toby got into something, I still have no clue what, and he had puked and had diarrhea all over our house. Our room was completely destroyed with dia all over the floor, clothes on the floor, puke on the bed, and on the floor. The front room had a few majorly large spots but he contained it to our room. Joya and I got home around 4 and smelt and saw the mess. I put Toby out and when he came back in he had blood on his hind leg hair from the dia. He then went and hid int he house. I cleaned the house until 7pm. not including doing laundry all night!! I thought Toby was dying!! They say dogs will retreat and hide when they are dying, so I naturally thought that. I was crying and called Tim, he thought Toby was already dead when I called but the mess and Toby being sick was very overwhelming to come home to after a full day of work. And yes I am complaining about a full day of work, even though it is only one day a week. I do not know how working moms do it!! I am not cut out for working out of the home with babies at home!!! I love being at home with Joya and I am so tired after teaching for 6 hours!!! Yes I am a wimp!!

I went to bed early and woke up with 2-3 inches of snow. We all got dressed in warm clothes and went out to make a snowman. Unfortunately the snow was not good packing snow, but great snow fro Joya to walk in and eat!! That's right all she wanted to do was eat the white fluffy snow!! We stayed out for a while and then Tim said I wish we could take her sledding. I said lets put her on the snow shovel. So that's what we did, she loved it, we went around all house!! She loved it, even the falling off part!

Let it Snow!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!! We woke up to just about an inch of snow, but it was enough around here to cancel schools because it is only 30 degrees and not supposed to get up past 32 today!! Tim called on the way to work and said the roads were icy!! My parents are picking us up and taking us to coffee and then we are going to hang at their house for the afternoon!! My mom, sister in law, and I are going to do crafts and Joya has a special room she gets to play in!!

Joya went out in the snow this morning for all of 8 min!! I am pretty sure it took longer to get ready to go out than we were actually out there!! That's ok though, because it was fun!!She liked walking through the snow and she liked touching the snow with her hands, but then that was the demise of her being outside. Her hands got too cold and we came in...but not with out a picture!! I was talking to my sister who was on her way over with her dogs. We will all hop in Papa's big truck and go to coffee!!

Reindeer farm

Yesterday Joya and I went with Tim to the Oregon Youth Challenge Program. He has been the Oregon spokes person for a few years now and goes to visit the camp site a couple times a year. We went with him and it takes 2.5 hours to get to Bend OR, which is where the camp is located. It took us a little longer because I had to use the restroom a few times along the way. On our way home we stopped right outside of Redmond at the a Reindeer farm. Joya got to pet and feed "Santa's" reindeer. It was very fun and interesting!! Did you know that reindeer loose their racks every year? They re-grow new ones every year...that's a lot of growth in one year for some of them!! Here are some fun pictures!! She had a good time and then slept almost the whole way home...I am pretty sure she would have if we wouldn't have had to stop for an accident in the road. We were detoured along a logging gravel road. It was an adventure, but had beautiful scenery.

Tutu

My mom and I were at a holiday craft fair and we saw a tutu, we looked at it and we knew we could make it ourselves! So we did. We made a pink one for Joya and by our surprise she started twirling right away! She must know to twirl from Zoe on Sesame Street...at least that's the only place I think she has seen a ballerina. Enjoy her show!!

Evidently it takes a long time to upload a video...I am sitting and waiting for it to finish. I want to go to bed!! By the way it is hard to understand Joya, but she is saying "twirl, twirl."

"Hop in the car Toby"

We were on our way out the door to the store and I asked Joya if she wanted to bring Toby. Of course she said yes, and we all walked out the door. We are at the car and I open the door and Joya says "hopp'n car Toby", I just started laughing. Evidently I say this every time to get Toby in the car first and then put Joya in. It is funny all the details Joya remembers even when I think they are insignificant!! I love her purity and how her mind works!! She is always keeping me on my feet, especially when repeating new words and remembering details that I don't!! As I am writing this she is playing with Toby's dish, she feeds him every morning. I give her a scoop of food and she dumps it in his dish and then tells me"one more". I then give her one more scoop, she again dumps it in and then says "all done." She is not supposed to play with the dish or Toby's water, so she is just standing over it talking about it. She did get in to trouble the other day when she put her socks into Toby's water dish...while wearing them. She then walked all around the kitchen and made the floor really wet!! She helped clean it all up and enjoyed that part just as much as dipping her feet in. She loves her Toby!!

No Shave November is Over!!

All of the offence on Oregon State's football team had a pact of No Shaving in November. Everyone told me that it was Tim's idea, he is known for not wanting to shaving!! Anyway here are some before and after shots of the grizzly man himself!! The after shot is of "Fun Facial Hair Monday." Tim came to Joya's swimming lessons with his new hair cut and Joya didn't say anything, but she kept looking at him funny!! hope you enjoy!!

The Beavers lost

We just had a gut wrenching loss with the Beavs!! It was a hard loss because a lot was riding on the game, including the Rose Bowl. Since we lost we will not be going to the Rose Bowl, we still will be invited to some bowl..it looks like the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX. It is still exciting to go to a bowl game!!

I thought I would add these pictures, since they were cute. We took care of my parents dog, who is kennel trained. Joya just loved playing is Max's bed. Joya calls him "Mac".

We also baked cinnamon rolls for Thanksgiving and this is Joya in the nice mess of it all!!

A biggy today!!

We had a big one today!! I said to Joya "I love you Joya." She said back to me "Love you Mama." It was awesome and warmed my heart, with the last few days that we have had!! There has been a lot of no sleep, crankiness, fussiness, and of course with all that is no listening and spanking!! So I am tired, Joya is tired and hearing that today was awesome!!

Joya is finally feeling better!!

Last week, Joya had a low grade fever and a runny nose. The whole week was spent at home, and Joya and I found some fun things to do!! On Tuesday we decorated the house for Christmas, including the tree. Joya helped as much as she could, she would work for a half hour and then lay on the couch for an hour!! Thursday we went to the doctor, she was supposed to have her 18month well baby check-up. She didn't have her shots, but had her check up and her ears and lungs looked at and listened to. She was completely fine, everything she had was viral. She did insist on becoming a "nudy" for the doctor. She took her shirt off and tried taking her pants off, then tried ripping her diaper off. She finally was a naked and she then told the Doctor all of her body parts. "Knee, toes, elbo, shoulder, nipples." Yes thats right she told the doctor about her nipples, the doctor smiled and said "wow shes got an extensive vocabulary." It had me laughing!!

Here we go!!

So here we go, a lot of people have been wanting me to do a blog for a while. I try to send out monthly photos of Joya for people far away to see her grow, but now you can watch her grow weekly...if I stay on top of this!!

Anyway Joya is sick right now, she woke up early Monday morning with a horrible cold and low grade fever. She has kept that fever for the last three days. Today was a better day, she wasn't as whinny and actually ate. Eating is always a good sign that she is feeling better!! When she is sick she doesn't want to do anything but read books and watch veggie tales, and not just any veggie tales she wants to watch the Bunny one. We watched it probably 8 times yesterday and about 4 times today!! Yesterday after her nap we decorated the house for Christmas!! Tim was upset that we decorated the Christmas tree with out him, but I think he was just tired and is feeling like he is missing out on our lives. He has been very busy the last few weeks, there is a lot of pressure to do well and win the next two games!!

As for me I am tired and am ready to sleep throught the night again!!
